It's been 10 days!
I haven't missed a day and I think that's something to be proud of. By the third day I realized that I didn't really care if the paintings were good. Yesterday was an especially hard day, and you'll notice that I posted fairly late. I was playing skyrim and I didn't start painting until I was already falling asleep. I did it, and I like the painting I did yesterday a lot, mostly the face. My goal in this whole thing is to make work. I want to have something to show, I want to be able to pull out my phone in a couple months and scroll through 60 art pieces. I wish I had started making fine art earlier, and the main reason I didn't was because I was never very good. I didn't get better until I started to doodle with a pencil, and then charcoal. If I had only done that when I was ten then I could be really really good by now. My goal with this blog is to catch up. I don't believe I'll make it all the way without messing up a little, but so far it hasn't been that hard. I spend about three hours every night watching tv shows on my computer, so drawing and painting fits right into that, especially when I watch stupid shows that don't require my full attention. These first ten days have felt great, and I have ten new pieces that I didn't have before. By next week I'll have 17, and the next even more. Painting and video games are the only two things that I can do without stopping. I can start either and two hours later I'll be surprised with where the time went. There are no Facebook breaks when I paint, and I get especially angry when my mom interrupts me.

This is an old painting I worked on more.
